Don't Ever Forget Who You Are!

As we set out on life’s journey, we will encounter negativity from high and low places, but don’t ever forget who you are. As we set out on life’s journey, there will be those who want to hold us back. Stand firm, and don’t ever forget who you are.

It’s so easy for our minds to be misled by all those false opinions that society has tried to impose on us. Like trying to tell us that the lighter shade of brown is more preferable than the darker shade of brown or that the long straight hair strains are more beautiful than the tight coiled ones; to that I say, don’t ever forget who you are.

Don’t be bound by other people standards. Don’t be shaped into someone else’s mold. March to the beat of your own drum and don’t ever forget who you are.

It’s so easy to get caught up in all those worldly things; believing that materialistic things is the essence of defining our self-worth; or believing that we are confined to the stereotypes that have been placed upon us.

As we set out on life’s journey, people will have us believing that our lives are cheap and that we are not worthy of being loved, that we are not worthy of success, that we are not worthy of greatness; to that I say, stand firm and don’t ever forget who you are.

Don’t be bound by other people standards. Don’t be shaped into someone else’s mold. March to the beat of your own drum and don’t ever forget who you are.

I agree with what you said 100%. I have been on a quest with each day to make my own rules and not feed into or buy what the mainstream is trying to sell.
Once I realized that I was allowing other things to shape and control my thoughts of myself, I let it all go and haven't looked back since.

Thanks for writing this. We all need to be encouraged and reminded along this journey.
Peace
