Is hip-hop a factor in the number of HIV cases in the Black community? Well former video vixen, Melyssa Ford, sure thinks so. In the June issue of Sister 2 Sister magazine, Melyssa said the following…“Hip- hop is a factor in the number of HIV cases in the Black community because of the misogynistic and homophobic lyrics. Unfortunately, HIV is still looked at as a homosexual disease and it’s not.” I understand what Melyssa is saying and will write about this in a future post. But in the meantime, think about it!
