Giving Thanks

Time sure flies when you are having fun. A Word For My Sistas started a year ago to this very day. When I created this blog site, I was clueless about just how powerful the blogging sphere could be. I wasn’t sure how A Word For My Sistas was going to evolve, but I always had an idea of ways I could transform this blog site to be a little bit different from the rest of the blog sites that were already out there.

I want to thank my family and friends, because in the beginning, they were the ones that kept coming back and supporting A Word For My Sistas and telling me how good of a job I was doing. I want to thank those who granted me interviews. I want to thank Afrobella, Brown Sista, Twana Tells, and Necole Bitchie, because those sites were the first to add A Word For My Sistas to their blog roll. Thanks goes out to the others sites who have recently added me to their blog roll as well. I want to thank Natasha from The Young, Black, and Fabulous. I sent this sista an email a while back inquiring about how I could go about getting ads for my blog site and to be honest, I didn’t think she was going to email me back, but she did, and she pointed out a site that I should check out.

Special thanks to Stephanie at Brown Sista. You know that I believe that knowledge is power, and in one telephone conversation, this sista shared a lot of valuable knowledge to me. She asked me a questions that I hadn’t asked myself. She asked me what were my plans for A Word For My Sistas, where did I want this blog site to go, and shared with me the various opportunities that was available to me. Stephanie is simply a sista helping another sista along the way. Last but not least, thanks to the people who come to check out A Word For My Sistas on a regular bases. It’s amazes me at just how much A Word For My Sistas has grown. Thanks!
