HIV Positive

I had the pleasure of interviewing Marvelyn Brown a while back. One thing I admire most about Marvelyn is her willingness to share her story with anyone who will listen. Marvelyn is young, beautiful, and HIV Positive. In the December issue of “Essence” magazine, she continues her plight with her message of caution. In the issue she states, “We must begin to love ourselves more so that we can stand together to protect ourselves from a disease that is the leading cause of death for Black women ages 25 to 34.”
