Fannie Rainey

I want to take the time out to acknowledge Fannie Rainey who is 103 years old and lives in a suburb outside of Chicago. Ms. Fannie has voted in every presidential election since 1920. On Election Day, Ms. Fannie went to the polls and cast her vote for President Elect, Barack Obama. Ms. Fannie told a Chicago Sun-Times reporter the following:

“I’m just weak and sick, but nothing could keep me from being here. I just think he’ll be good for the United States. He’ll bring the United States back to life again.”

It is people like Fannie Rainey, so full of determination, that has made a difference throughout generations. Thanks Ms. Rainey, we appreciate you!
