Black Is Beautiful!

For such a long time, European standard of beauty has been the standard of beauty for all women. Too often, women of color found themselves not meeting the criteria for those imposed standards. The results, a misperception in our community about what true beauty really is. Women of color come in various hues; we come in various shapes, and sizes. Some of us rock our hair in braids; some of us choice to wear our hair straight, and some of us beautifully wear our hair very naturally. Beauty transcends the color of skin. Beauty encompasses self-pride, self-love, and self-awareness. Beauty is self-confidence and self-assurance. In other words, "Black Is Beautiful!"
