cover of the July issue of “Vegas” Magazine. We love Mary because she has been able to overcome many adversities in her life. Mary grew up in Schlobam projects in Yonkers, New York. She was raised by a single mother. Her father was an absent figure in her life. Mary grew up in an environment plagued with social ills that continues to plague many of our communities today. She will be the first to tell you that she has had her share of alcohol and drugs. Today, Mary is drug-free; she has sold over 40 million records, and has a legion of fans. Mary continues to get better with time and I know her fans are cheering her on all the way.
