Closer

Question Of The Day

Today, are you closer to making your dreams come true?

If you look at any successful person in life or any person who is making their dreams come true, what you will notice is that they all have something in common. They all have the drive and the motivation that we all need to get to the next level in life. Without drive, motivation, or the will to succeed and make your dreams come true, you will find yourself on a path that leads to many dead ends. So you think about, and think about it real hard. Do you have the drive, motivation, or the will to succeed and make your dreams come true? Today, are you closer to making your dreams come true?

A Word For My Sistas

I am keeping my fingers crossed. I am hoping to launch www.awordformysistas.com on Monday. A Word For My Sistas will be relaunched as an online magazine. I went back and forth in my mind to decide on whether or not A Word for My Sistas should become an online magazine, and the more I thought about it, the more sense it made for me to do so. There will be a new format with many more post, celebrity interviews, and much more. I am excited and hope you guys will like the new site. Stay tuned!

Blogcation

I know, I have been missing in action for a little while. I took a blogcation (blog vacation). As some of you may know already, my hubby has been on deployment to Iraq. He's home now, but has to go back to Iraq next Wednesday, so we have just been hanging out and having a blast! Hope you understand!

How Come You Hit On Me?

You were my husband. You were supposed to do the things you chose to do. I loved you ‘til the end. And I’d rather die before I let my kids see; the way you hit on me. The way you hit on me. Every night I’d cry hoping that they never see. The way you hit on me. The way you hit on me. The way you hit on me. How come you hit on me?

I made believe that it really didn’t hurt me. Made believe that I only hurt myself. I believed you every time you said I’m sorry. Was too ashamed to tell someone I needed help.

-Syleena Johnson “Hit On Me”
